Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does Basic Salary include allowances?

No. Gratuity is calculated strictly on your Basic Salary as stated in your labor contract. It does not include housing, transport, utilities, furniture, or any other allowances.

How does unpaid leave affect my gratuity?

According to Article 51, days of absence without pay (unpaid leave) are not included in the calculation of the service period. Our calculator automatically deducts these days if you enter them.

Is there a difference if I resign or get terminated?

Under the new law (Fixed-Term Contracts), if you complete your contract term or provide the required notice period, the calculation method is generally the same for both resignation and termination, provided you have served at least one year.

What is the maximum gratuity amount?

The total end-of-service gratuity cannot exceed the aggregate of two years' total salary (Basic + Allowances).
